This session is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, apologies for any inconvenience. Please do join the December session.
On the first Friday of every month the main studio turns into a working space to paint, draw, or simply have time to work on some ideas with others in a mutually supportive creative atmosphere. Whether you consider yourself an artist, a creative or an art student, we invite you to come and make the most of our great facilities, for only £10 for the day. We allocate 4 free spaces to encourage certain people, which also need to be booked in advance (see below)
With up to 10 people taking over our huge space, you’ll have plenty of room to spread out and use tables and easels, as you wish. So come and make yourself at home in our beautiful studio, where you can join Polly, Sally or one of the other artists/volunteers who will be working on their own projects.
For those who’ve attended previous courses, this is a great opportunity to either practise what you’ve learned, finish something you’ve never had time for, or simply start something new. For those with a continual practice, you will be able to treat this as a working studio space for a day.
Yardley Arts has a very good selection of art books on artists and techniques as well as specialist art magazines providing great tips and inspiration. We have WiFi so if you want to bring iPads to reference an image, please do so.
Please note that these sessions are completely untutored.
The aim is to create a space in our lives to practise techniques and to experiment in a relaxed, sociable environment, and you never know, you might produce something wonderful.
