This workshop is an ideal introduction to landscape painting in oils. Working from a reference photo provided a landscape painting will be produced with attention to perspective, tonal values, colour mixing and application of colours. Students will be able to create a realistic landscape painting following a step-by-step process.

On the second Friday of February 2025 the main studio turns in to a working space to paint, draw, or simply have time to work on some ideas with others in a mutually supportive creative atmosphere. Whether you consider yourself an artist, a creative or an art student, we invite you to come and make the most of our great facilities, for only £10 for the day (please book in advance)

You will leave with a selection of prints and greeting cards and a new skill you can keep improving at home! In this workshop, we will be looking at linocuts of houses and buildings and you will be creating your own.

A fun workshop making decorations for use on the tree or around the home for this festive season. You will make and take home two small reindeer and two stars – and possibly more! These small decorations make adorable displays or perhaps as gifts for family and friends.

All items will be made out of willow (with possibly a little extra foliage or decoration).

Come and create a beautiful bird out of willow. Bird sculptures are fun to make using recently cut and buff willow. The starting point for a sculpture is the framework, followed by free weave technique. This workshop is suitable for newcomers to willow weaving and those with some experience.

Cordell Garfield’s ‘Exploring Colour’ is an exciting one day workshop exploring colour theory and the application of colour. The workshop is designed to help both beginners and more experienced artists in understanding colour.

Join Anne for this fun session where you will design and make a colourful and sparkly large fused glass star which will be ready for you to hang in your home in time for the festive season.

All tools and materials are included, as well as a wide range of glass types and colours to make your piece with. You will receive expert tuition and guidance to help you put your design into practice.
