Cordell Garfield

Cordell Garfield is contemporary English fine artist and oil painter based in Northampton,  specialising in portraits and landscapes. He also conducts portrait painting workshops at Yardley Arts which is designed to guide you through the whole process.

Chris Richbell

Chris paints mainly in acrylic or watercolour and sometimes in mixed media. She prefers to paint outside, whatever the weather! She enjoys being one of the part time tutors at Yardley Arts encouraging others to share her enthusiasm for painting.

Sally Pennycate BA (Hons)

Sally Pennycate’s art is inspired by and often incorporating elements of the landscape. She is heavily influenced by the Northamptonshire landscape and creates abstracts based on reflections of nature and also creates ‘Nature in Art’ pieces.

Rah Flynn

Rah uses X-ray and monochrome photography to strip away vibrancy, scent and colour, allowing the viewer to rest with the beauty within. From iodine-enhanced botanicals to Neurosurgical dexterity, Rah’s work asks the viewer to look inside and look again, perceiving it in different way.

Martine Solando

Martine is a Northampton based paper collage artist, also known as Snips and Pieces. Martine makes beautiful paper collages inspired by nature and the world around her, using hand coloured and recycled papers.

Jamie Poole

Jamie’s artwork frequently uses a range of mixed media techniques that have also incorporated words. In recent years this has become more important and now collage is a major part of his work, which often uses words poetry. The lines of various poems have been woven into Jamie’s imagery - segments of which can be read.

Melissa McDonald

Melissa switches between semi-abstract and a more intuitive abstract style depending on her mood, trying to capture the feeling and atmosphere of the landscape. This can be literal landscape or a comment on the events in the world or her own personal experiences. Melissa works mainly in acrylics on stretched canvas, often applying a large amount of texture particularly in her abstracts. Melissa uses various tools alongside brushes.'

Becky Gillatt

Becky has had an interest in designing and making from a young age, leading her to study goldsmithing, silversmithing, metalwork and jewellery at the Royal College of Art.

Becky holds regular workshops at Yardley Arts where learners can make a piece of jewellery so personal to them that they will wear and treasure it for a lifetime.

Marlene Snee

Marlene’s love of nature and the local countryside inspires many of her paintings. Her work is often colourful, in a loose and experimental style.

Having mostly painted in watercolour, for it’s wonderful luminosity of colour and slight unpredictability, Marlene is now practising the ancient art of Chinese Brush Painting.
