About the tutor

Jane creating with willow

Jane’s work is inspired by natural materials and making and photographing the results.   After studying Fine Art at Northampton University Jane worked freelance as a contemporary arts worker delivering contemporary art exhibitions.  Since the mid 2000’s she has worked on various community arts projects, including the Yardley Hastings Lantern Parade.  Jane is a founder of Yardley Arts and has exhibited at the South Northants Arts Trail with her willow creations.  She is a member of the Basketmakers’ Association.

I really enjoyed the day, [creating] something I hadn’t done before. Jane was really good, demonstrated each process and went around helping us all. When I arrived, Jane was very nice and explained a few things about what to expect from the day. Jane was very well organised with everything in place for each person
