‘Art on the Wall’ is a rolling exhibition of works at Yardley Arts.
Katy Burdett and Emma Lindsay are well known local artists and will be filling Yardley Arts with their paintings, prints and greeting cards, all available to view and most to buy.
The exhibition will be available to view until Friday 15 June. After the open weekend, please contact Yardley Arts or Emma to arrange viewings.
The exhibition will be available to view during workshops/courses and by appointment until 16th June 2024.
Katy Burdett
Katy works from her art barn in Northamptonshire. Her paintings are often mixed media where she combines collage, acrylic paint, acrylic inks and printed elements on wood panel, canvas or high quality paper.
She often makes her own gelli printed papers to form a patterned layer under her work that peeps through.
Design, composition and texture of a painting are very important to Katy. She often uses a limited colour palette to interpret her ideas. Her mixed media pieces, including collage, are sometimes specially sealed and framed without glass so the surface texture is more visible.
Katy has won awards for her art and in September was awarded ‘Highly Commended’ for her painting at the Network Arts Exhibition in Wellingborough. Katy is a member of the Eagle Gallery Artist Cooperative in Bedford and has just been voted a full member of Northampton Town and County Art Society. She exhibits in shows and exhibitions in Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire and Warwickshire.
