This year’s South Northants Art Trail is the biggest yet with over 60 artists taking part, exhibiting in 20 venues, including ours.
Yardley Arts will be exhibiting work by no less than nine artists during the week: Bill Blyth, Juliet Brown, Linda Johns, Irina Mitchell, Sally Pennycate, Jane Roberts, Marlene Snee, Simon Tipping and John Wannop.
Demonstrations will also take place during opening hours and many artists will be available at different times to talk about their work and arts practice.
The event opens on Saturday 3 October and runs up until Sunday 11 October, running from 10.30 am – 4.30 pm, except for Monday 5 October.
The Art Trail was established by Sue and John Rudland and a core of founding artists, with the aim of connecting artists in the South Northants area with art lovers and collectors.
It offers everyone the opportunity to meet artists and makers, to learn first-hand about how their work is created, and to buy direct from the artist.
You’ll find art forms as diverse as abstract and figurative painting, sculpture, weaving, photography, wood turning and carving, mixed media, textiles, printmaking and much more.
Many of the artists taking part are demonstrating their skills and sharing their inspirations, making the Art Trail as much about the creative processes as it is about the exhibitions.
All the exhibitions have free entry, and some of the artists will be offering ‘have a go’ sessions too – you may have to book your session in advance for these.
More information about the artists and the Art Trail is available on the South Northants Arts Trail website.
