A gloriously colourful 7-day exhibition of nature and plant life seen through the eyes of many local artists. This exciting and dynamic show aims to illustrate the many ways in which nature and botanical matter can be seen and expressed in art.
The exhibition is open 2-8 July with a private view (invitation only) on 1 July. There are 20 artists participating in a range of different media such as oils, acrylic, watercolour, glasswork, mixed media, linocut, eco and X-ray printing, digital art and jewellery. These include:
Matthew Beeby, Katy Burdett, Cathy Burnett, Claire Denny, Benedict Flannigan, Rah Flynn, Graham Fudger, Cordell Garfield, Penny German, Helen Hayward, Nicky Hunter, Kat Lendacka, Emma Lindsay, Carol Ann McDermot, Sally Pennycate, Chris Richbell, Minnie Teckman, Jo Turner, Ann Wagstaff and Jo Wraight.
Many of the artists are well known locally and some have won awards for their talent. Some of them are our tutors, who have delivered workshops and courses this year, such as Chris Richbell, Cordell Garfield and Cathy Burnett, so do come and see the work they create.
During the exhibition, on Sunday 3 July, some of the artists will be painting and drawing in various gardens in the highly popular ‘Open Gardens’ event, here in Yardley Hastings in Northamptonshire. So, on that day, you can enjoy two events in one: stroll round the beautiful gardens and then visit the Art Centre for the exhibition. There’s bound to be a buzzing atmosphere!
The exhibition is free to enter, and there will be the opportunity to purchase the art, as well as postcards, jewellery and original prints. We look forward to seeing you there.
This exhibition is kindly supported by Stephanie Price Wealth Planning.
