Tutor Cathy Burnett is running this 4-week introductory drawing course to get you started and give you confidence. It is designed to build up your observational drawing skills, as well as exploring and learning techniques.

Each week there will be a different them such as tone and value, line and texture, form and space. There will be warm-up activities and you will learn how all about mark-making.

The lessons will be adaptable to allow Cathy to tailor them to the needs and desires of your group. The course is designed for newcomers and absolutely no experience is expected.

It will be a small, friendly informal group and the Art Centre has ensured that there will be plenty of space for you to work safely indoors. The teaching space is on the ground floor and suitable for disabled access.

What is included

All materials, equipment and paper for this course will be provided by Yardley Arts, however you are welcome to bring your own sketch book, if you already have one.

Dates and times

Wednesdays, 7pm to 9pm for four weeks commencing 5 January and ending on 26 January.

Cost

£75 for the course. Age 16+. Spaces limited to eight people, so early booking recommended!
