A fun and experimental Saturday art class with Emma Lindsay running monthly until December. There will be an exciting project each time, which will teach children new skills and also how to use different materials in fun and varied ways. We will have a go at drawing, painting, printmaking and more!
Club subjects
Week 1 (15 Oct) Printmaking - Create a printed cityscape with reflections using a foam printing plate
Week 2 (12 Nov) Paul Klee “Castle and Sun” - Looking at Klees painting we will create a landscape looking at shape, line, symmetry, colour and pattern
Week 3 (10 Dec) Lichtenstein Pop Art Portraits - Create a pop art style portrait looking at simple face proportions, pattern, shape, colour and characterisation
What to bring
All materials are provided, just bring an apron/old shirt

£22 per child
Suitable for ages 7-12 years. Spaces limited to 12.

About the tutor
After completing a Fine Art and Art History degree at Newcastle University, Emma has worked in heritage organisations and in education, whilst maintaining a love for painting, drawing and printmaking. Emma’s work has been published in various books and guides, and she has exhibited in Covent Garden in London and Hatton Gallery in Newcastle.
