A fun and experimental Saturday art class with Emma Lindsay running for the Autumn term. There will be an exciting project each time, which will teach children new skills and also how to use different materials in fun and varied ways. We will have a go at drawing, painting, printmaking and more!
Club subjects
14 September - St Basil’s Cathedral - create a colourful, architectural painting of the amazing, fairytale St Basil’s Cathedral in Moscow.
5 October - Russian Babushkas - draw and paint a colourful Russian Babushka, looking at Russian folk art and patterns.
26 October - Printmaking - this project will focus on creating an image on a foam printing plate and then transferring the image to paper. We will be looking at architectural compositions and reflections.
What to bring
All materials are provided, just bring an apron/old shirt for your child/ren.
Cold drinks and biscuits are available. Please bring anything else your child might require, if needed for special diet or medical reasons.
Cost
£16 per child. 10% discount if you book all three Autumn clubs: 14 September, 5 October and 26 October. Suitable for ages 6-12. Spaces limited to 12.

About the tutor
After completing a Fine Art and Art History degree at Newcastle University, Emma has worked in heritage organisations and in education, whilst maintaining a love for painting, drawing and printmaking. Emma’s work has been published in various books and guides, and she has exhibited in Covent Garden in London and Hatton Gallery in Newcastle.
