A fun and experimental Saturday art class with Emma Lindsay running for the Autumn term. There will be an exciting project each time, inspired by a different artist, which will teach children new skills and also how to use art materials in fun and varied ways. We will have a go at drawing, painting, printmaking and more!
Club subjects
This month’s topic is Van Gogh, where you will create a vibrant landscape using oil pastels, watercolour and collage.
Topics vary each session and include subjects such as:
Collage winter trees
Romero Britto hearts with bleeding tissue
Landscape collages and printing
Patterned landscapes with 3D houses
Self portraits
What to bring
All materials are provided, just bring an apron/old shirt for your child/ren.
Cold drinks and biscuits are available. Please bring anything else your child might require, if needed for special diet or medical reasons.
Cost
Cost £20 per child. Suitable for ages 7-12. Spaces limited to just 8 people, so book early to avoid disappointment.

About the tutor
After completing a Fine Art and Art History degree at Newcastle University, Emma has worked in heritage organisations and in education, whilst maintaining a love for painting, drawing and printmaking. Emma’s work has been published in various books and guides, and she has exhibited in Covent Garden in London and Hatton Gallery in Newcastle.
