about the tutor
Sara Myers is a freelance sculptor based in Milton Keynes. Sara apprenticed for a short time with well known figurative sculptors Edward Russell, Lorne Mckean and John Doubleday after which she went back to school studying Fine Art Sculpture in London, followed a little later by a Masters in New York.
As well as studying, Sara exhibited and worked in New York and had a studio in Harlem. During this time she worked producing prototypes for Warner Bros and sculpted for an Artist, which developed into a long relationship that resulted in running her studio in Soho (Manhattan). After 5 years Sara returned to the Uk and rented a barn to make sculptures.
